Overstone Park Primary School is a brand-new, non-selective, state-funded state-of-the-art primary school being constructed at the Overstone Leys development area in north-east Northampton.

It is set to open with 30 Reception learners from September 2025, subject to the required statutory approvals and will grow by adding a Reception intake each year in line with housing growth and increased demand until reaching full capacity as a two-form entry with 420 learners aged 4-11 years.

As our new flagship eco build school is now scheduled for completion by April 2026, our Reception pupils will be hosted at Wootton Park School, our sister school and also part of the Northampton Free School Trust, for the first two terms, between September 2025 and March 2026.

Based on the highly successful model established by the hugely oversubscribed all-through Wootton Park School, graded ‘Outstanding’ in all inspection categories in 2019, Overstone Park Primary School’s vision is founded on strong academic achievement, developing strong values and promoting citizenship, community and service, providing a ‘foundation for growth’ where every child will thrive and prosper.

Mrs Natalie Green, formerly Associate Vice Principal at Wootton Park School, has been appointed Head of School Designate and took up the post in January 2025.

We are accepting applications for our founding Reception places for September 2025.  An application to Overstone Park Primary School is in addition to the usual local authority process, giving parents and carers a chance they may be offered two places, one from Overstone Park Primary School and one through the Local Authority, for our opening year only.
