Further to receiving approval from the Department for Education for Dallington Park School to enter into the ‘pre-opening phase’ in 2021, Northampton Free School Trust is now preparing to open this new non-selective, state-funded 11-16 secondary free school.

Dallington Park School is proposed to open with six forms of entry (180 places) in Year 7 from September 2027 in a brand-new, state-of-the-art building in the Dallington area of Northampton, subject to the required statutory approvals. It will grow organically by adding the same Year 7 intake each year until it reaches its capacity of 900 learners from Year 7 to Year 11.

The school is being established to help meet the significant and growing need for high-quality secondary places in the area. The exact location and provisional opening date will be confirmed once the Heads of Terms have been agreed, and the time needed for obtaining planning permission and completing the necessary building works has been assessed.
